1st Annual Defeat Hunger Bowl

From January 8th through February 9th, metro Detroiters will have the opportunity to participate in a much different type of “bowl game.” In an effort to bring attention to the issue of hunger in Michigan, Forgotten Harvest is teaming up with local Walmart stores to launch the first annual Defeat Hunger Bowl.

Non-perishable food items will be accepted at donation bins placed inside 28 Walmart locations in metro Detroit, with all donations benefitting Forgotten Harvest.

Detroit Lions, Wide Reciever, Nate Burleson will be doing his part to promote the food drive by making appearances at the Walmart in Sterling Heights, MI - 33201 Van Dyke Ave - on January 20 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend!
