Over the summer, the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan donated $220,000 to food banks throughout Michigan to help meet the need for food across the region. This extraordinary gift of support was given to Forgotten Harvest, Gleaners, and Greater Lansing Food Bank to help feed families and seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic. In recognition of the Diocese’s gift, leadership from these pantries came together to distribute food at Oakland HOPE in Pontiac. This special event was a demonstration of the Episcopal Dioceses’ donation in action, and a coming together of Michigan food pantries in partnership to feed the community.
