Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has been named the NFL Players Association’s community MVP for his work donating 40,000 pounds of fresh food and supplies to Detroiters in need.

Goff partnered with Forgotten Harvest in the city to host a mobile food pantry outside Ford Field on the team’s off-day earlier this week. The NFLPA reports 500 “food insecure families” in the area received fresh food and supplies from the mobile pantry.
