The country’s busiest concert amphitheater has been silenced for the summer. So DTE Energy Music Theatre is throwing a virtual party today instead.
An afternoon of social-media activities will culminate with a 5 p.m. webcast of Eddie Money’s 2018 show at the Clarkston venue — a nod to the late rocker’s longtime role as season opener.
The daylong event will benefit the nonprofit food distribution group Forgotten Harvest. Donations can be made at ForgottenHarvest.org/dtedonate or by texting “DTE20” to 91999.
