Forgotten Harvest, a nonprofit headquartered in Oak Park that fights hunger and food waste, is set to host a new fundraising event this spring.

“Fundraising is what keeps the lights on,” said Christopher Ivey,  head of communications and marketing for the organization.

The upcoming event, billed as “Feeding Detroit Together – a benefit for Forgotten Harvest,” is set for 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, April 12 at the MGM Grand in Detroit.

Tickets start at $150 and are available on the organization’s website at forgottenharvest.org under the events tab.

Sponsorship packages are priced from $1,000 to $50,000.
