Welcome
Good food shouldn’t go to waste while good people go hungry.
Welcome to Forgotten Harvest, metro Detroit’s mobile food rescue organization.
Have you ever looked around a grocery store and thought to
yourself “What do they do with all the food they don’t sell?” All too often the answer is – sadly - throw it away. Forgotten Harvest is metro Detroit’s solution to the problems of hunger and waste. Our method is quite simple: Rescue perishable and prepared foods and deliver it to organizations that serve the hungry. That’s it!
Driving hunger from our community
With a fleet of refrigerated trucks and vans, chances are, you’ve seen us on the road! We welcome you to our site and urge you to get involved in the fight against hunger and waste. Start now by getting informed, giving food, or giving funds to help us keep up our mission of feeding metro Detroit.
National City Roundtable
