Detroit Design Guild is a collective of designers based in Detroit that typically make posters for local music venues like the Fillmore and St. Andrews. Since the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order has been in place, they started making posters based on headlines from news related to COVID-19. The posters, inspired by WPA posters of the 1930s and World War II, work as public announcements to encourage people to stay safe, support local business, and recognizing workers on the front lines. The collective teamed up with Grand Rapids-based screen printing studio Endhymns to print 4 of the posters, and all of the profit will go to helping Detroit’s Forgotten Harvest.
