All donations will help Forgotten Harvest feed hungry metro Detroiters. Every $10.00 donated will provide $70.00 worth of groceries or 40 meals to your neighbors.

In Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties, 542,000+ people live in poverty – including 174,000+ children and 70,000 seniors over the age of 65. That’s why Forgotten Harvest is dedicated to relieving hunger in metro Detroit by rescuing excess food and distributing it to our neighbors in need. Donating to Forgotten Harvest today can help us fill the tables of metro Detroiters with food insecurity.

As metro Detroit’s largest food rescue organization, Forgotten Harvest delivers 144,000 pounds of surplus food per day to local charities six days a week, providing families in need with fresh and nutritious food free of charge. We do this by rescuing millions of pounds of fresh and nutritious food from over 560 food donors and delivering it to over 220 emergency food providers like food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, and faith-based organizations. Please help us help our neighbors going hungry in metro Detroit.

We also have many other ways to give.

To mail in your donation, please make a check payable to “Forgotten Harvest” and send it to Attn: Donor Relations 15000 W. Eight Mile Rd., Oak Park, MI 48237.

We want to hear from you..

People support Forgotten Harvest for a variety of reasons.

Some of our donors may support us because they own a restaurant. Others mention that they give in honor of their grandma who always fed the homeless in her community. Still others donate because they want to make sure the “extra” food from their local grocery store goes to those who need it.

We’d love to hear YOUR story–it might help us find other supporters like you!

We are grateful for the generous support of our community which sustains Forgotten Harvest as we boldly pursue our mission to relieve hunger in metro Detroit by rescuing and redistributing surplus food. If you have any questions, please read the FAQs.
