With the extension of the governor’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order in Michigan, Forgotten Harvest is continuing its mission to deliver food to those in need.

“It means we keep on working,” said Forgotten Harvest CEO Kirk Mayes, telling WWJ’s Vickie Thomas that some 200 volunteers will be at well over a dozen locations, from Detroit to Romeo this week.

“We continue to stay to our mission and try to do the best we can to serve our community. We are actually in support of the governor’s decision of extending the stay-at-home order.”
