For those struggling to put food on the table these days, there’s help available.

Forgotten Harvest — which rescues food surpluses from grocery stores, markets and restaurants that would have gone to waste — provides metro Detroit families who are food insecure, and have a hard time covering the cost of basic life necessities, with pantry items and groceries.

The organization will be distributing food at locations all around metro Detroit this week.
